Data used
eCARBURANT retrieves public reports available through Monitorul Prețurilor, operated by the Romanian Competition Council. The source provides station, network, locality, coordinates, fuel type, price and observation time. eCARBURANT is independent and is not the official source.
Processing
- Validate response shape and identifiers.
- Validate Romanian coordinates and plausible unit-specific price ranges.
- Remove duplicate stations by source identifier.
- Store observation and collection timestamps separately.
- Append history when a price changes or after 24 hours.
- Refresh current prices only after valid processing.
Statistics
Minimum and maximum are the extremes of current observations. Average is the arithmetic mean across currently priced stations and median is the 50th percentile. Historical comparisons use the latest station observation available at each reference date.
Limitations
Coverage depends on reports available in the source. “Lowest reported price” means the minimum in the available dataset, not a guarantee covering every Romanian station. The pump display is the applicable price.
