Privacy policy

eCARBURANT works without user accounts. This policy explains the technical and location data involved in the service and how Google Analytics and advertising technologies may be activated with appropriate consent controls.

2. Data we process and why

Processing summary

DataPurpose and legal basisRetention
Online identifiers and usage events collected by Google AnalyticsAudience measurement and service improvement — consent, where the service is enabledAccording to the retention period configured in Google Analytics; it will be kept to the shortest useful setting
Advertising identifiers, consent choices and ad interaction dataAd delivery, frequency control and measurement — consent and the choices collected through a Google-certified CMPAccording to the choices and vendor periods disclosed in the consent panel
IP address, browser, requested URL, time and response statusSecurity, abuse prevention and technical diagnosis — legitimate interestNormally up to 30 days; longer only for a documented security incident or legal duty
Approximate coordinates when you request geolocationCentre the map and show nearby stations — your explicit browser permission and requested serviceNot saved in the application database; they may occur temporarily in technical logs as part of the URL
Messages you email usAnswer your request — steps requested by you and legitimate interestUp to 3 years after the conversation ends, unless a legal duty requires otherwise

3. Location

Location is requested only after you press the location control and the browser asks for permission. The site rounds coordinates before adding them to a shareable URL, uses them to centre the map and does not build movement history or profiles. You can refuse or withdraw permission in browser settings; search and manual map navigation remain available.

4. Cookies, local storage and offline cache

Your device stores functional choices such as theme, fuel type and fill-up quantity, plus pages and price responses needed offline. If Google Analytics or advertising is enabled, non-essential storage starts from a denied Consent Mode v2 state and is governed by the consent panel. You can refuse non-essential purposes and later change your choice without losing basic access to the service.

5. Recipients and external services

  • The hosting and infrastructure provider processes technical logs under the operator's instructions and appropriate contractual safeguards.
  • Google may process technical and usage data when Analytics, Search Console verification, AdSense or its certified consent platform is enabled. Search Console and Ahrefs verification tokens only prove domain ownership and do not themselves create user profiles. Google's vendor disclosures and international-transfer safeguards are shown in the consent panel and Google privacy documentation.
  • When the live map is opened, OpenFreeMap receives technical requests including your IP address and the map tiles needed for the visible area. Map data is credited to OpenStreetMap contributors.
  • Google Maps or Waze receives data only after you choose to open its navigation link. Their own privacy terms then apply.

We do not sell personal data. Advertising and measurement providers may use data only according to the purposes and choices disclosed in the consent panel; the service does not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you.

6. Your rights

Depending on the situation, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, object to legitimate-interest processing and withdraw location permission without affecting earlier lawful processing. Send requests to contact@ecarburant.ro. We normally answer within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP).

7. Policy changes

We update this page when data practices or applicable rules change. The date at the top identifies the current version; material changes will be highlighted visibly on the site.
